Star Trek and Rezillian
Before I even say anything further, I want to firmly establish one factoid: I am NOT a Trekkie. Never been. Never will be. I watched some episodes of the original series when I was a kid, but that's about it.
Not that I have anything against Star Trek, mind you; it's just that it was rather surprising that I ended up watching the new Star Trek movie yesterday night. We had several options, this ended up working out best, and hey, I always say to keep an open mind.
What can I say? I was blown away. What a great movie! it would be hard to say anything without spoiling it, but I'll put it this way: I sat awkwardly and had a somewhat distorted view for the entire duration because we were sitting in the front row (full theater), and I still thought the movie was absolutely brilliant. Seriously. Watch it.
I also got rezillianed today. Two points: one, it is MUCH easier and less painful the second time, and two, it is much better if you just give up any notions of modesty and go in full monty (that is, without the irritating mini-underwear the esthetician will offer you). That way you can get everywhere.
